Spot 3 Differences: FREE Dinosaur Preschool Activity

[ad_1]

This dinosaur activity happens to be one of my preschoolers favorites! To celebrate my new book, A Dinosaur Made Me Sneeze, I am sharing loads of FREE dinosaur activities, and today it is a “Spot 3 Differences” activity!!

This printable activity includes one page with two pictures on it. You can cut the pictures apart or just leave them together.

If your preschoolers have trouble spotting the 3 differences, give simple hints like, “Are there any differences in the trees?” or “Are there any differences on the dinosaur faces?” If they absolutely cannot find the differences, use another sheet of paper to cover up a portion of the picture to help them focus.

I think my daughter could do these all day long…I’ll probably make some more soon because she loves them so much!

They are great for helping to strengthen visual discrimination, or the ability to recognize details in images. This skill makes reading and math easier, which in turn make many other things in life easier!

It also is an opportunity to practice making observations, which is a science reasoning skill that we work on constantly!

First, I want to share my new book with you! This is my first picture book–I have literally wanted to write this for 14 years! It combines silly characters with rock cycle science–it is both fun to read out loud and fun to look at the pictures! I would love to invite YOU to JOIN ME in its first hardcover print run! You can learn more (and see some of the inside pages!) HERE! Let me know if you have any questions–I am SUPER excited about this!! <3

Aaand…

Happy Educating,

Carla
