No Churn Cotton Candy Ice Cream

Cotton candy ice cream is my family’s favorite homemade ice cream recipe! What’s yours?

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups very cold heavy whipping cream
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, cold
  • 2 teaspoons cotton candy flavoring ** see notes
  • Food coloring in pink and blue, optional

It’s so easy to set up a homemade ice cream bar! All you need is ice cream, sprinkles, different flavored syrups, whipped cream, and some cones!

How to Make Homemade Ice Cream

Instructions:

  • First, place loaf pan or container in freezer at least 30 minutes before you begin.
  • Then, please your bowl and whisk in freezer at least 30 minutes before you begin.
  • Be sure whipping cream and condensed milk are very cold.

The hardest part of working with whipped cream is not eating it all before you have finished making the recipe!

  • Next, in a large bowl or stand mixer bowl, beat whipping cream until stiff peaks form.

How cool is cotton candy flavoring?! So many options for fun recipes!

  • Then, in a medium bowl, stir together the sweetened condensed milk and cotton candy flavoring until smooth.

Make sure you are gently folding this in–you don’t want to overmix!

  • Gradually add milk mixture to whipping cream by GENTLY folding into whipped cream.

Adding the food coloring is my daughter’s favorite step!

  • Divide mixture into 2 separate bowls (it will be about 3 cups each).

You can tweak the shade of the colors by adding more or less food coloring until you reach the shade you like!

  • Color one bowl of mixture with pink and one with blue.

How pretty is this no churn cotton candy ice cream? I almost don’t want to eat it… just almost!

  • Remove container from freezer and drop ice cream mixture by spoonfuls into the container.
  • Freeze overnight.

Be sure to store your homemade ice cream in an airtight container to try and prevent freezer burn!

  • Serve with cotton candy on the side if you like!

Notes:
This homemade ice cream is very soft and melts quicker than store bought ice cream.
Cotton Candy Flavoring can be found in the baking section at most craft stores, or in the candy making area. You can also add sprinkles if you like.
