Dinosaur Count & Clip Cards: FREE Preschool Activity

[ad_1]

This dinosaur activity happens to be one of my preschoolers favorites! To celebrate my new book, A Dinosaur Made Me Sneeze, I am sharing loads of FREE dinosaur activities, and today it is a “Spot 3 Differences” activity!!
dinosaur count and clip cards

This printable activity includes three pages for a total of 12 count and clip cards! Each card has a different number (1-12) of dinosaurs on it. Well, two of the cards have pterosaurs on them…and even though they aren’t dinosaurs, we still love them!

My preschoolers love using clothespins! We use them for activities like these, to track their daily schedules, and sometimes just to play with!

Obviously, this activity lets your children practice counting and number recognition. Less obviously, it helps them develop a concept of one-to-one relationships, which is an important pre-reading skill!

It also strengthens their fine motor muscles and is an exercise in cause and effect!

There are SO many things happening with this simple activity!!

First, I want to share my new book with you! This is my first picture book–I have literally wanted to write this for 14 years! It combines silly characters with rock cycle science–it is both fun to read out loud and fun to look at the pictures! I would love to invite YOU to JOIN ME in its first hardcover print run! You can learn more (and see some of the inside pages!) HERE! Let me know if you have any questions–I am SUPER excited about this!! <3

Aaand…

Happy Educating,

Carla
